Британскому хакеру Гари МакКинону, известному под псевдонимом Solo, за взлом сетей Пентагона грозит 60-летний тюремный срок.
Как пишет издание Guardian., слушания по делу начнутся в среду, 30 июля в Палате лордов.
Программиста Гари МакКиннона (Gary McKinnon) арестовали в Великобритании в 2002 году. Власти США обвиняют его во взломе компьютерных сетей NASA и Пентагона. Американцы считают британца МакКинона "крупнейшим взломщиком военных компьютеров всех времен".
Guardian напоминает, что хакер взламывал серверы Пентагона из-за навязчивой идеи узнать правду об НЛО. Также он хотел продемонстрировать незащищенность серверов США.
МакКиннон ранее неоднократно заявлял, что взламывал американские сети из любопытства, а то, что американцы настойчиво требуют его выдачи, хакер прокомментировал изданию так: "Американцы боятся, что я слишком много знаю об НЛО".
Издание прогнозирует, что Палата лордов, скорее всего, откажет американским властям в экстрадиции Solo.

It was above the Earth's hemisphere. It kind of looked like a satellite. It was cigar-shaped and had geodesic domes above, below, to the left, the right and both ends of it, and although it was a low-resolution picture it was very close up.
